1 Enoch 59 (sent. 1–3)

ወበእማንቱ ፡ መዋዕል ፡ ርእያ ፡ አዕይንትየ ፡ ኅቡኣተ ፡ መባርቅት ፡ ወብርሃናተ ፡ ወኲነኔሆሙ ፡ ወይበርቁ ፡ ለበረከት ፡ ወለመርገም ፡ በከመ ፡ ፈቀደ ፡ እግዚአ ፡ መናፍስት ። ወበህየ ፡ ርኢኩ ፡ ኅቡኣተ ፡ ነጐድጓድ ፡ ወሶበ ፡ ይደቅቅ ፡ በመልዕልተ ፡ ሰማይ ፡ ወቃሎሙ ፡ ይሰማዕ ፡ ወማኅደራተ ፡ የብስ ፡ አስተርአዩኒ ፡ ወቃል ፡ ዘነጐድጓድ ፡ ለሰላም ፡ ወለበረከት ፡ ወለእመ ፡ ለረጊም ፡ በቃለ ፡ እግዚአ ፡ መናፍስት ። ወእምድኅረዝ ፡ ተርእየ ፡ ሊተ ፡ ኲሉ ፡ ኅቡኣቲሆሙ ፡ ለብርሃናት ፡ ወለመባርቅት ፡ ለበረከት ፡ ወለጽጋብ ፡ ይበርቁ ።

[In those days mine eyes saw the secrets of the lightnings, and of the lights, and the judgements they execute (lit. ‘their judgement’): and they lighten for a blessing or a curse as the Lord of Spirits willeth. 2.
