1 Sam 18:26 Biblical Hebrew / Aramaic Hebrew Bible — 1 Samuel

וַיַּגִּ֨דוּ עֲבָדָ֤יו לְדָוִד֙ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה וַיִּשַׁ֤ר הַדָּבָר֙ בְּעֵינֵ֣י דָוִ֔ד לְהִתְחַתֵּ֖ן בַּמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְלֹ֥א מָלְא֖וּ הַיָּמִֽים׃

When the servants reported these terms to David, he was pleased to become the king’s son-in-law. Before the wedding day arrived,
