LXX 2 Macc 4:50 Ancient Greek Septuagint (Swete) — 2 Maccabees
ὁ δὲ Μενέλαος διὰ τὰς τῶν κρατούντων πλεονεξίας ἔμενεν ἐπὶ τῇ ἀρχῇ, ἐπιφυόμενος τῇ κακίᾳ, μέγας τῶν πολιτῶν ἐπίβουλος καθεστώς.
And so through the covetousness of them that were in power, Menelaus continued in authority, increasing in malice to the betraying of the citizens.
