LXX 2 Macc 5:24 Ancient Greek Septuagint (Swete) — 2 Maccabees
ἔπεμψεν δὲ τὸν μυσάρχην Ἀπολλώνιον μετὰ στρατεύματος, δισμυρίους δὲ τοῖς δισχιλίοις, προστάξας τοὺς ἐν ἡλικίᾳ πάντας κατασφάξαι, τὰς δέ γυναῖκας καὶ τοὺς νεωτέρους πωλεῖν.
And whereas he was set against the Jews, he sent that hateful prince, Apollonius, with an army of two and twenty thousand men, commanding him to kill all that were of perfect age, and to sell the women and the younger sort.
