LXX 2 Macc 6:16 Ancient Greek Septuagint (Swete) — 2 Maccabees
διόπερ οὐδέποτε μέν τὸν ἔλεον ἀφʼ ἡμῶν ἀφίστησιν· παιδεύων δέ μετὰ συμφορᾶς οὐκ ἐνκαταλείπει τὸν ἑαυτοῦ λαόν.
And therefore he never withdraweth his mercy from us: but though he chastise his people with adversity he forsaketh them not.
