LXX 2 Macc 6:20 Ancient Greek Septuagint (Swete) — 2 Maccabees
προπτύσας δέ, καθʼ ὃν ἔδει τρόπον προσέρχεσθαι τοὺς ὑπομένοντας ἀμύνασθαι ὦν οὐ θέμις γεύσασθαι διὰ τὴν πρὸς τὸ ζῆν φιλοστοργίαν.
And considering in what manner he was to come to it, patiently bearing, he determined not to do any unlawful things for the love of life.
