LXX 2 Macc 6:22 Ancient Greek Septuagint (Swete) — 2 Maccabees
ἴνα τοῦτο πράξας ἀπολυθῇ τοῦ θανάτου, καὶ διὰ τὴν ἀρχαίαν πρὸς αὐτοὺς φιλίαν τύχοι φιλανθρωπίας.
That by so doing he might be delivered from death; and for the sake of their old friendship with the man, they did him this courtesy.
