The Qur'an
مَآ ءَامَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَـٰهَآ ۖ أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Not a township believed of those which We destroyed before them (though We sent them portents): would they then believe?
