LXX 2 Macc 4:24 Ancient Greek Septuagint (Swete) — 2 Maccabees
ἡ δὲ συσταθεὶς τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ δοξάσας αὐτὸν τῷ προσώπῳ τῆς ἐξουσίας, εἰς ἑαυτὸν κατήντησεν ἀρχιερωσύνην, ὑπερβάλλων τὸν Ἰάσονα τάλαντα ἀργυρίου τριακόσια.
But he being recommended to the king, when he had magnified the appearance of his power, got the high priesthood for himself, by offering more than Jason by three hundred talents of silver.
